Photography Classes at the Cassandra Hand Centre

Nowadays, as a result of the introduction of digital, a great many people have big fancy cameras but the unfortunate situation is that the majority of these cameras are set on “auto”. People have absolutely no idea how to use any of the other settings. Auto on these cameras is totally acceptable in most light situations but in low light situations the participants of our course will know the benefit of upping their ISO setting from 100 to 800 or if they want to make sure that all the subjects in a portrait are in focus then they will make sure that their aperture is set to F11.  I always say to make sure and read the instruction manual that comes with your camera but I do agree that these manuals can become a lot clearer if some of the terms are explained simply and with examples. The Cassandra Hand-Eugene T. Hamill Photography course will over a period of 6 weeks leave all with a better knowledge of aperture, shutter speed and ISO settings, essential elements in the operation of their modern D.S.L.R. cameras. Anyone who has not already registered their interested in this course beginning in April should contact Josephine or Diane at 047 52997 or email: Josephine@cassandrahand.ie
